PROPOSAL REQUEST 2021-01

CONSULTING SERVICES FOR DESIGN OF OZONE SYSTEM FOR THE PETERBOROUGH WATER TREATMENT PLANT 

The purpose of this Request for Proposal is to obtain the services of an experienced and qualified team to complete preliminary design, final design and provide tender documents and construction inspection services for the installation of a new ozone water treatment system at the Peterborough Water Treatment Plant (WTP).

The Preliminary Design is intended to be completed by year end 2021, Final Design and Tender Specifications to be completed 2022 and the Construction Stage to commence early 2023.

This scope of work is not intended to be all encompassing and complete.  The submitted Proposal should expand on the scope of work with a listing of work activities that the Consultant would undertake for a complete project using their expertise and best practices.  This will demonstrate your understanding and approach to the project.  Subsequent to the award of the assignment PUGSC, in consultation with the successful Consultant, may refine the project requirements if necessary.

A mandatory site meeting is to be scheduled during the week of June 21-25, 2021 at the Water Treatment Plant located at 1230 Water Street North, Peterborough, Ontario. Site meetings are to be scheduled through René Gagnon, WTP Manager, (rgagnon@peterboroughutilities.ca) by no later than Wednesday, June 16, 2021 .  Failure to attend a site meeting will disqualify Proponents from submitting on this proposal and they will not be considered for award of this contract.

NOTE: Given current social distancing measures, Proponents should limit themselves to a maximum of one (1) or two (2) representatives to attend the site meeting and come equipped with proper PPE, consisting of high-visibility vests, steel-toed boots and hard hats. Face masks will be mandatory and hand sanitizer will be provided on-site.

PROPOSALS will be available for online submission only through the bids&tenders website until 2:00:00 p.m. Local Time, Friday, July 9, 2021.

PUGSC may, at its sole discretion, accept or reject any or all responses to this Proposal Request and reserves the right to accept any Proposal which it deems to be advantageous, regardless of the price(s) contained in that Proposal.
