PETERBOROUGH UTILITIES INC. PROPOSAL REQUEST #2020-04 Trent Rapids Power Corporation (TRPC), a wholly owned subsidiary of Peterborough Utilities Inc. (PUI), owns the Robert G. Lake Generating Station, an 8.0 MW run-of-the-river hydroelectric generating facility on the Otonabee River adjacent to Locks 22 and 23. PUI recently completed a hydraulic assessment of head losses near the intake structure adjacent to the Dam at Lock 23 (DL23), selecting excavation and dredging of a small portion of lands upstream of the intake as the preferred alternative. The intent of this Request for Proposal is to solicit qualified Proponents to complete the Environmental Assessment for the proposed work in accordance with the Guide to the Parks Canada Environmental Impact Analysis Process (June 2015), following new requirements of the Impact Assessment Act (2019) as applicable. Interested Proponents can view the Proposal Request at https://peterboroughutilities.bidsandtenders.ca and then register as Plan Takers to access the official documents. PROPOSALS will be available for online submission only through the bids&tenders website until 2:00:00 p.m. Local Time, Friday, June 19, 2020. Peterborough Utilities Inc. may, at its sole discretion, accept or reject any or all responses to this RFP and reserves the right to accept any RFP which it deems to be advantageous, regardless of the price(s) contained in that proposal.
